Class

We believe that a thriving society is one that appreciates beauty, culture, and art. Since we began working with the community in Rusunawa Marunda, we’ve introduced classes in music, drawing, and painting to nurture this appreciation. Through these classes, we hope participants gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for Indonesian and global arts and culture.

Music Class – Embracing Culture Through Angklung. Our music art program proudly offers Angklung Classes, highlighting this traditional Indonesian instrument as a key cultural asset. Anak Marunda Jingga (Amajing) Angklung Class welcomes children and teens who enjoy the simplicity and beauty of traditional music. In addition to learning to play angklung, students are also taught in building positive character values, making this class a well-rounded cultural and personal growth experience.

For senior participants, Angklung Senior Class offers an engaging and joyful setting where seniors can connect, be entertained, and focus on maintaining motor skills and cognitive sharpness—believed by experts to support dementia prevention.
Drawing and Painting Classes – Fostering Imagination and Creativity
Our Drawing and Painting Classes are designed to inspire children and teens to develop their creative abilities. In the drawing class, children are taught fundamental skills such as drawing lines (straight and curved), creating shapes like circles and ovals, and exploring various coloring techniques.
For teens with a foundation in drawing, the Painting Class provides an opportunity to expand their skills on canvas. Here, students learn sketching techniques, explore self-expression, and discover a painting style that resonates with their artistic vision.
Each class aims to enrich the imagination and creative confidence of every student, nurturing a lifelong appreciation for art and culture.

Marunda Jingga Angklung Program (Amajing)

Anak Marunda Jingga Angklung Program (Amajing) is a dedicated effort to preserve and promote Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage through the enchanting music of angklung.

Our Angklung Classes for children and teenagers do more than teach how to play this traditional instrument; they also introduce the beauty of Indonesian folk music alongside international songs. This program fosters a spirit of collaboration and togetherness, instilling cultural and humanitarian values such as tolerance among diverse ethnicities, religions, and races.

Each training session is complemented by character-building lessons, led by dedicated instructors who ensure that participants can apply these values in their daily lives. Additionally, our Angklung Class for the Senior addresses the needs of seniors in Marunda, providing a regular, engaging activity that promotes cognitive and motor skills—believed to help prevent dementia. In this class, participants enjoy playing angklung in a light-hearted and fun atmosphere.

Join us every Saturday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at RPTRA Gabus Pucung, Cluster A, Rusunawa Marunda, and experience the joy of music while celebrating the rich cultural tapestry of Indonesia!
